The fixed Temp has this wonderful feature whereby you can put your thumb on the but of the handle and it can't go anywhere. I found this pic during my archive clean-up, thought I'd share it.

During my trip to Golden I visited the Buffalo Bill Museum and found this knife. It was owned by a 'persian' member of the troupe during the shows in the early 20th century. I always thought that handle feature was unique to the Temp, shows you what I know.

Hmm..it does seem to share that same thumb rest on the butt of the handle. Very cool feature, it's one of the many reasons I love the Temp.

Aloha Ted! ( :p )

Nice pic! (As usual!).

That thumb groove...can you still "cup the butt" for a DEEP thrust even with the thumb groove on it, or is there no need to due to the Temp guard?

Yes Chad, you can 'cup' the butt of that handle both edge in and out. I don't feel it's necessary because of the excellent guard on the Temp, but it helps.
