and a SE at that. Just got the yellow Tasman SE. I fought getting a Hawkbill for a long time but as I said in another post, my taste has matured a bit. Life doesn't end at a drop point plain edge anymore for me. I thought, and could be wrong here, that a SE would be a good choice for this blade type. Haven't used it yet so can't give any impressions. Oh yeah, I had them throw a 'Lil Temp in with it just for fun.

Congrats GC, and welcome to hawkbillholism ;)
You're right, Hawkbills are definitely a knife where the SE excels, even better than other blade shapes.
Hope you enjoy it once it gets some use.

Congrats John... I'm carrying my Yellow PE Tasman today. These Tasmans are as light as a feather!
That pic looks really good. Your getting better. ;)

Aloha GC,
Man, today is feeling like "before-days"...posted with the likes of smcfalls13, and pjrocco...I have missed this a LOT. :( ANYWAY...
Great pics bro! Them Tasman's are on my Banana-wish list. ;) IF that SE Tasman becomes a user, keep us posted okay?
God bless and take care my friend

Greencobra I am very happy for you. It just brings back the pleasant memory of the first time I discovered how valuable and pragmatic of a tool that the Hawkbill is. And it is an absolute pleasure to work with top quality, top notch, well made tools.
You are embarking on a journey to find all of the amazing and noteworthy chores that can be done better and more efficiently with this most "misunderstood" knife. You will not stop there at the Tasman. I can assure of that. ;) :spyder:

Thanks Rock. Hawkbills and natural light is what I've discovered recently. I think it's called teaching an old dog....you know what I mean.
Not as good as yours though. :o

Scott & JD, I can see this being a workhorse. I'm pretty excited about the Tasman as well as the pair of Dodo's I got last week.
Chad, good to see you my friend. I hope this is a trend and you'll be here more often.
