Sal, does the patent also involve common people? I understand that the Spyderhole is guarded against violation from other companies. But as a private person, am I able to drill a hole to let´s say a BM 710 and replace the thumb stud without any complications?

DePaul,
We meet again
A 710 with a Spydie hole? You'll HAVE to come to the next DELMARVA BM meeting and show it off!!!
* Ummmm by the way, announcing your plan to violate a patent might have been a bad idea
Shhhhhhhhhhh nobody tell :D
Hi dePaul. Patents and trademarks are for commercial protection. If you were to make one and not sell it or give it away for commercial use, then there is no problem.

Thx Sal, that´s what I wanted to hear! NP, I´m certainly not going to sell it .
Hi Classified00. Long time. I sure would like to participate next time you guys come together. However, there is the issue of time and the present economic situation of my wallet The latter matter, I may fix. But the time matter. I don´t know yet. I have to say, it is my dream to come to US and discuss knives :D Haven´t been in US for 17 years! (Last visit 1973).
However, we´ll keep in touch!
PS Sad to hear about James Mattis passing
