Just thought I would give anyone that is thinking about ordering one a heads up.
They are caught up on orders,I ordered another ARC AAA P on Saturday and it arrived today.
Wasn't long ago that there was a 4 to 6 week wait.

That is fantastic!! If you do NOT have one, if you like flashlights at all, YOU MUST GET ONE!! I have purchased 3, and waited the 6 weeks.

If you can find one, there is a new version of the Inova X1 that is just hitting the stores. For $20, from what I read, it blows away the previous model.

I might have to try a new X1 for around the house.
The new ARC P goes with me everywhere else,5.5 lums,1/2 in across,2 3/3 in long(not as big around as a AA battery and only 3/4 in longer) and lights up the entire side of my house. The coolest thing I like about it is useing it in a power outage.I load trucks with a fork lift. The lights on the lift work ok when the power is out as long as you loof in the direction they are pointing,as soon as you look to the side you are blind as a bat.I can clip the ARC to the bill of my hat and have light any direction I look.

I love my x1... kydex from Eric keeps it tight to my body so it's not flopping around and it's exactly where I put it on my belt when I go to grab for it. Just have to push up on the lens to free it.

Nicest thing is that with AA batts, I can run 1/2 dead batts in it for free, nothing like 5hrs of light on free batts. Get those by the dozen from the hospital, they run em in heart monitors for a day and put em in a box(they get 30hrs runtime before the monitors get questionable, so they do 12-16hrs of runtime and change batts). They just huck the box when it's full, so my mother stops by when I want a few batts and fills a small bag with em.

Try doing that with 123a lithiums :p

That is one of the reasons I am looking at the X1. I just wish I could find one of the newer models. The new ones are notr as much of a spot light. They have some spill also. The lens is now clear and instead of using optics, it is using a reflector. I really do want to try one.

a little bigger is nice with the x1 but I wonder if it will project as far and with no glare like the older one does.

Countycomm.com has 'em pretty cheap right now. Best price I have seen. The L2P is very nice too. I have both. I have been pondering LOP vs. ARC AAA. HMMMM, blaze of glory vs runtime... I know what my wife would prefer. ;)

Hello,

I am not a flashlightolic, but i do have an arcaaaP (Yes, waited 8 months just before christmas) and I am still amazed at how much light gets out of there. And the funny thing is that it seems to always provide enough light for every purpose INSIDE A HOUSE you need....

Now... Go get one.... I am as pleased as when I bought the 204 "... I have been postponing it because I always end up buying a new knife..." Is what we all once said...

Thanks for the heads up, just ordered an Arc Aaa, I had been fooled before by their website listing it in stock and then when you try to buy it you get the 6-8 weeks notice. I need a little flashlight in my pocket, I have plenty in the house (6 total) and 2 in the truck, so the only thing lacking was a personal lightweight and small one with decent run time, and the Arc got such good feedback from people.
Cheers,
Rob

I forgot to say that a lithium AAA will run these a little brighter than a normal AAA.

I know this thread is a little old but I had a question. I ordered the standard to save $10 on the Arc website. Will I still be wowed by it even though it isn't a premium? $30 versus $40 on a tiny flashlight - it was hard for me to spend the $30 already. Should be a cool little flashlight.

You will still be wowed but the P is worth the 10.00 differance in price and they are worth the price of either one.

I just got my standard Arc today and got to try it out around the house. Very bright little light. It is as bright as my 2AA Maglite that has a 3 led bulb from Nite-eyez in it! Amazing flashlight that is tiny. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a nice small light. The premium version is twice as bright - that would be insane!

Try it with an AAA lithium. It gives it a little longer run time and makes it a touch brighter.

Yeppers, I got mine and am very happy. It costs about 3-4 times as a Streamlight Keymate but uses a more reasonable battery instead of a handfull of tiny expensive batteries. If you use a little flashlight a lot get an Arc AAA, otherwise it isn't really worth the money that would save on batteries.

I have the same Lithium AAA in my Arc P for the past 6 months. I useit everyday (Check on the kids, "where did it fell...?", "How is it made in there...?") and yesterday, I took out the batteri and put it in a Mag solitaire. ... Guess what... Nothing. Just a copper tone light. put a brand new battery in the mag: Bright as new. Put the Lithium in it again. Cooper.

Tried the lithium in the Arc AAA P: Daylight.

For the next 10 minutes, it was screw, unscrew all of the thing I have with AAA batteries and just coul do with these conclusions:

THE ARC AAA PREMIUM IS THE BEST POCKET LIGHT ONE COULD BUY.

This is true. I experienced it at home: http://www.arcflashlight.com/media/Arcvsmag.wmv

(Please notice the difference in size)
Top is a Mag Solitaire, bottom is a Arc AAA P

Period.

I just wish it was Yellow!!! :p

Ps.: I just re-read my post and it sounds like I work for Arc...

Question: How is the light activated? In other words, how do you turn it on?

I'm really looking hard at these lights (if money wasn't short, I'd have already ordered one just based on everyone's raving testimonials about it). One thing I like about Surefires is that they're activated with a push-button tailcap, and I'm wondering if the ARC has the same thing.

Even if it doesn't, it's no sweat, since it's not really a "tactical" light. The small size and brightness are very appealing.
