There is a Spyderhawk just listed on the Bay with a silver colored clip. My Spyderhawks have black clips. Any one know if a production run was done with silver clips? Thanks! :)

It uses the standard clip with the barrel bolt attachment. Any clip could be substituted for the black one. To my knowledge they only ever came with black clips. It's possible it was changed to the seller's preference. To the seller's credit, he never specifies it as new. So the black clip is not necessary.

Doesn't matter to me though, it's still a Spyderhawk ;)

I looked at all my variations of the Spyderhawk, and the only one that has a silver clip is my BladeForums Blue PE Spyderhawk. All other variations have the black clip.

Also as Scott stated...You can swap clips if you like. I think the 93mm Rescue silver clip would go perfect on a Spyderhawk.

That's my Spyderhawk up on Ebay that you all are referring to. I got that knife in a trade. The guy I got it from is a knife collector I have known for a long time who is a reputable decent guy that I trust implicitly. The knife is new as it appears to me. I have even looked it over with a magnifying glass and I can't find any flaws in it what so ever.

I noticed that it had the stainless clip the day I got it. I guess my question is this: As long as the knife is in new condition and flawless ( which it is) then I guess I have to wonder what difference it really makes. This isn't the first time I have had something like this happen to me with a Spyderco knife. If any of you win the knife in the auction and you are abhored by the stainless clip I have other clips I can put on it.

I had a G-10 Rookie about a year ago that had a stainless clip on it. I am thinking that maybe the very last run of the Spyderhawk or maybe the ones from South Africa might have had different clips on them. Rock is right because I just pulled out my PE Spyderhawk out of the drawer and it has a stainless clip on it too.

But please be assured people I am not trying to pull any jive on anyone with one of my knife deals.

It doesn't matter to me, I just want a Spyderhawk. I've missed mine ever since I got rid of it. Stainless clip looks nicer in my opinion anyway.
