Hey kwakster,  "WOW"!!! Although the Commercial is Funny, I think the language is a Bit To Strong to Post Here on this Forum. Especially for some of the registered youngsters that are members here. I do believe we have an 8 y/o that visits the forums from time to time. I'm sure he, as well as some of our Fellow Knife Sister don't need to hear that on Our Beloved Forum. Not only that, I wouldn't want you to get into trouble with the moderators, or offend anybody ;) . Take Care My Friend.
God Bless :)

There are one million and one sites where this type of post is acceptable....in my humble opinion I don't think it is here. :(
Where are you Carlos!

I have to agree with RonT and Ken; The "needs glasses" movie was pushing it, but I think this one goes a bit too far...
Edit to add: I personally thought it was funny, and even a little clever, but I have been told on multiple occasions that my sense of humor does not neccesarily match up with what is appropiate!

Ok kwakster...I am starting to see a trend here. I've made it clear I think it is funny but you are upsetting a lot more members with these posts than you are getting supporters. Frankly the level of this forum is more important than vulgar humor. You are beginning to look a lot like a Troll, who just wants to get a negative reaction. I kindly ask you to cease with these posts.

Don't think i am i a Troll.
All the posts i have made are quite normal commercials, seen all over the world without any problems, so in my innocense i thought i could post them here also.
It's rather strange, most people in these forums really laugh about them, but say they find them too much.
I will not post those 'questionable' links here anymore, but don't you all think that America has some catching up to do with the rest of the world ?

If I was sitting in a room having a beer with adult friends then let me assure you virtually anything goes. My only problem with you posting these commercials here is that there are a number of youngsters, my son included, who frequently use this site. In the UK (which might need to catch up with the rest of the world too), there is a watershed for any adverts containing sexual content or bad language. I therefore have a choice of what I let my kids watch because I know what to expect, by posting them here you are removing that choice.
On other knife sites there are specific areas where this type of post and far worse are not only allowed but encouraged. If you are used to visiting them I can understand how you might have thought it would not be a problem here. This site has been described as "Sal's house" as visitors here we all try to act accordingly this is a large part of what makes this forum so special.
Thank you for your decision not to post these commercials in the future. :)

On one hand, I will wholeheartedly agree with you there. Personally I'm not much for political correctness, and after spending several weeks in Germany and Switzerland, coming back home it felt like everyone was so uptight about everything.
On the other hand, we do have lots of catching up to do (and loosening up as well) but this is not the place to start that change.
While you may have the best of intentions, a post like that can make a LOT of waves in a place like this. Some of the youngsters that visit these forums now and then can get expelled from school for using language like that, and when parents around these parts start hearing that stuff from their kids... let's not even get into that.
Do not take this as trying to rush you out the door. By all means, post away! But please be considerate and use a bit more conservative discression when you post here.

It's a Dutch commercial that aired a few years ago, i think it's quit funny. Although the language is strong for people from the U.S.A., it is sadly the fact that young people in Europe are constantly bombarded with foul lyrics.
This has the negative effect that most European children know and sing songs they don't understand, but that would make an American blush.
No radio station airs any songs about "please pass me the maple syrup, my lovely wife" but they sadly only air these examples of American culture
(link edited due to foul language)
If you put on MTV in Holland or France there are no bleeps, no squares on bodyparts etc.
If you go to the states and watch MTV half of the time the lyrics are bleeped out and half of the video is blurred.
Sadly, that is the way the U.S.A is portrayed. If you see something about the U.S.A. in European media it's either hardcore rap music, pictures of the war in Iraq, violent horror movies and Michael Moore "documentary's!

Ya if I was reltavitly new to a forum and got this kind of response I sure as heck would've removed the post by now. Even though this is the OT area I think it is not intended for this kind of posting.

I wont tell anything about if its "reasonable" here or not. But it was pretty funny to me.
Maybe more funny for those whose 1st language is not english.

There are jokes I find funny that I might tell you in your living room, if nobody else was home, there are some I might tell you with your wife present, but not your kids, and there are some that I'd consider suitable for the whole family. I would do that out of respect. If that makes me a prude in the eyes of some, so be it. The original poster thinks America has some catching up to do, I think we've lowered our standards quite enough already. If folks in other parts of the world wish to allow their kids to swim in sewers that's their business.

To second Paul, I'm quoting a french humorist: "You can laugh of everything but not with everyone" Pierres Desproges.
I don't think kwakster did something awfully wrong except that he should have created only 1 thread to post his links in and this thread should have had some kind of warning in the title.
