I can not find any info on these knives at all. Can anyone give me any info.I also just sent an endura back to the factory. It has aus 8A blade. It does not sharpen well or hold an edge. Has anyone else had problems with this steel?

Don't recall hearing of any bad batches of AUS8. It is usually regarded as a fairly easy to sharpen steel, that takes a great edge, and holds it moderately well. There can always be a problem with a heat treat, but since the Endura is so popular, would have expect to have heard. Then again, my memory is lousy.

My other two enduras have aus8[whitch I cant say enough good things about] this one is stamped AUS8A is there a differance.

AUS-8A, AUS-8, and 8A are all the same. I have an 8A Endura, it takes a fantastic edge, and holds it for a l-o-n-g time. I also have other 8A Sydercos and have never had a problem with any of them. RKBA!
