I just got back my Military that I sent out to have a tritium vial placed in it. The vial was placed in the backspacer then three holes were drilled thru the G-10 so it is visible from three sides. It was done by NC Blades who does fantastic work with quick turn-around time.
I am thinking of adding a David Boye dent to my Renegade, but will test it out on an older model Endura first. Has anyone tried this ?
Also what other modifications have been done to Spyderco's ?
Hi Grant. Thanx for the input on the tritium. The original plan for the Mil was to do just what you did, but in production. It didn't work out for production, but a few owners have added it in the back spacer.

Try taking a dremel tool and the small nylon brush with polishing compound and
jeweling it like a gun bolt. LOOKS GREAT!

I think this idea is so cool, even though i do not own a Military, I just had to revive the thread. I was going to get one of these vials at the blade show, but I misplaced the $100 that I was going to use to purchase accsessories on the last day of the Blade Show.

Hi Knife Knut hows 1 of my favorite places on earth doin in this heat, Im up here in Greenville S.C. myself, are the catfish still biting on the Cooper? O/T i know just wanted to say hi to a neighbor. Back to topic tho, ive played with the clips on most of my knives with my Dremel tool with various results. At this very miniute i have a stainless steel clip off a CRKT Mirage in my wifes cake pan in the oven set on 500 degrees tyring to get that blue color just before it changes the temper on it (aint brave enuff to try this with a Spyderco yet) ill let yall know how it turned out, just glad i have spares....Ron

Excuse my ignorance, but what is a tritium vial? I know that tritium is just a hydrogen isotope (Hydrogen, deuterium, tritium)

It is tritium gas sealed in a viel and glows.Same thing used in Night sights for pistols.Do a search for Metropolight and you can see some.I am going to put one in the spacer of my Milli,if I can find one.

Thanks for the infos. Do they have a practical use on knives or do you put them just for the looks?

The idea that I get is that if you are useing the knife in darkness and lay it down it would be easy to find.
