That's cool. Thanks for sharing.

Isn't that name the one that is on some of the inexpensive knives seen on ebay?

I seem to remember seeing a hawkbill with that name before.

Tom Anderson is a fine custom knife maker. http://www.andersoncustomknives.com/ http://www.arizonacustomknives.com/displayArtist.asp?aID=20&name=Tom+Anderson

I think that cheap crap stuff are thieves of his designs.

That's quite nice :D

Scales are bit too fancy for my taste though, I'd be afraid to use it. Wouldn't stop me from buying one though :p

I wasn't trying to insinuate that his knives were cheap crap. I've seen some of his stuf on the web and it definately doesn't look like crap, or cheap. I just seem to remember some of those knives, and they were advertised with his name. Quite possibly a rip-off.

Do you one hand open it by pushing down on the little point just above the pivot?

Hey cool Severedthumbs! I don't know if he is the originator of the idea but I like how he handles the problem of negative angled handle vs the hawkbill as seen in the Rastor models.

Well I guess the Tom Anderson model above does the same thing in a more subdued fashion...great answer to that problem.

This Hawkbill craze is not going to die out any time soon. As a matter of fact with superior quality Hawkbill blades like the one you have displayed are going to becoming more and more prevalent. That is a very serious work of art.

When I said about a year ago that the "People want a New Hawkbill and actually a series of them" >>> I had no idea that it was going global. But that turns good news into great news. Bring em on ;)

Thanks for the linsk and for the pic. It is a nice piece, although the lack of a hump and a round hole makes it look somehow peculiar ;)
