I asked the manager why they didn't sharpen the bread knives we use in the kitchen, and she told me it was because you "can't sharpen a serrated blade". It was to the point of not even cutting a plastic bag!
Well, I had my DoubleStuff with me, and spent 20minutes on it. Used the section of 204 I have for my cricket after... Got a possible edge back, then tweaked the serrations.
Now you don't even have to cut, but the manager will be using a bandaid for a while.
Before: run finger ALONG cutting edge, pressure on it, and nothing, not even a red line...
After: Now POINTS rather than curves for the serrated, about as sharp as the Delica.
She tested the 2-3 inches by the handle, I didn't say anything other than "it will be sharp, be careful", and she didn't listen.
Last time she does that I hope.
"Can't Sharpen Serrations" = "Damn, that was sharp, wanna get me a bandaid?"
We all start with 10 fingers. Those with Spydies have 9 to spare, Still need a thumb. Good thing I still have 8 to spare...
