Does anyone know where one can buy cork? I have a project in mind, but need some small pieces of cork. I dont have any wine drinkers in my family so it is hard to find any corks lying around. Would any of the wine fans here happen to have some corks that they dont need, or does anyone know of a site that sells small bits of cork? Thanks in advance.

How about this site?

http://www.boarddudes.com/cork_balls.htm

I recon cork coasters are more easily available in regular stores.

Have you tried searching on good ol' Ebay? I'm sure that someone must be selling cork on that site.

You might want to try Hobby Lobby or some other craft stores.

If you can't find any, let me know. I'll be be more than happy to uncork some of the wine I've got, and send the corks to you

No really, I'm serious.

Hey Scott,
If you would like, whenever you open a bottle, set the cork aside and when you have a few stock piled let me know and ill send you some $ for shipping. If you are looking for a reason to open one, then you could always have a drink to my brithday? Its in July, but who pays attention to details. Thanks again,
J

My Dear Friend,

Check with local upscale restaurants that regularly serve wine with meals and ask them to save their corks for you - I am certain you could obtain all you need in a single busy evening of festivities.

tackle shops sometimes sell cork bobbers in different shapes and sizes. I used to make monkeys fist keychains with the round ones, about the size of a super ball. some are cone shaped, or cylindrical. most fresh and saltwater fishing tackle shops sell them.

BTW, I would love to see the custom guards go "Hum, that guy who sent knives parts so we don't seize them,... Is he doing the same with wine?!?!?" :D
