This cool little light was waiting for me when I arrived home from work last night. It takes 1 AA battery. It has a puch button clicky switch. The backend is flat, so you CAN use it like a candle, which I really like. I didn't play with it much last night, as I was exhausted, but I did put a battery in it. It came with a belt pouch, a lanyard, and and something else. I am not sure what it is. Mine is black, which I also like. It IS bigger than my Arc-P. I will see tonight, to see if it is much brighter than the Arc-P . Anyway, I am really happy with theis great little light. It is bigger than the Arc-P, so it will not be going on my key chain, as the Arc-P is PERFECT for that duty. But, it will get slipped into my pocket when I go out or get put on my belt. Whomelse here has a Fenix here? I kow there are some flashaholics here!!

l1p is much brighter than an old arc aaa, so id guess it's brighter than an arc aaa premium. i compared an l1p, e1l and an old arc aaa and the l1p is very similar in brightness to the e1l. great flashlight and very durable, but after a few drops the LED is not perfectly centered. definitly worth the cost in my opinion, especially with the decent runtime for the brightness and batteries used.

Hi TKC, I have had a L1P for a couple of weeks now. It is a great little light for the money. I like it alot. If you are interested, I can tell you how to make it a two stage light. This change make the on/off possible buy twisting the back part of the light and using the switch to go back and forth between the teo light levels. It works very nice to have a lower light sometimes.
I think I am going to order a L2P also :).
Glad you like your light. If you don't mind my asking, where did you get it and for how much?

I EDC a L1 Lighthound Special (a custom run of the basic L1 with HAII, no multicoating on the lens, *BUT* with the R-Bin Luxeon emitter found in the L1P), and it's the first light i grab when i need a quick bit of illumination....

i also carry a SureFire 6P with the 120 lumen P61 HOLA (High Output Lamp Assembly) in my belt holster with the Leatherman Blast, and a slightly upgraded SureFire G2 Nitrolon in my FRP (the G2 has a G&P 3 watt Luxeon lamp assembly replacing the P60, and a UCL glass lens replacing the scratch-prone Lexan stock lens), all in all, both great lights

the L1 and G2 are my daily *user* lights, the P61 equipped 6P is my "portable blindness maker", in the event i'm forced to deal with a potential assailant....

okay, okay, i admit it, i'm a gadget freak, and i carry the HOLA 6P because it's just plain *cool* to have a palm size light that outshines a 6-D cell Maglite, is that so wrong? ;)

....the 20 minute battery life on the P61 is the only downtime, it's the "gas guzzler" of flashlights....

Hi. I got mine from TAD Gear, for $42.95. And I DID pre-order that Fenix P1 as well.I really like TAD Gear, most excellent customer service!!I tend to return to them when I am looking for something. I buy my Striders from them. I buy my other knives from the usual places that we buy from. OK, how DO you make it a 2 stage light!! I am inpressed with this light. Before you order the L2P, are you going to look at the P1? It looks like a fantastic light!! MacTech: I totally understand!! I am a gadget freak too!! I LOVE falshlights!! No, there is NOTHING wrong with what you carry for lights!! I totally, totally relate and understand.

I have a solution. Have any unprotected R123's kicking around? Pop 2 in your 6P with a P90 or P91. 100 lumens for about 45 minutes or 200 for about 15 minutes. I have a C2 with a P91 like this and it pretty much kicks butt for its size. And being rechargeable is the only route I go nowadays.

I will get this info up just as soon as I can!! It is very easy.

On another note, David Chow at the Fenix Store (http://www.fenix-store.com/) has a sale going on right now on the L1P and the L2P. They are about $30 shipped for each of them. Please see this thread at CPF. http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=114691
This is a great buy and David is awesome to deal with. His regular price on these lights is around $38. I just picked up one of the CR123 bodies also for the L2P.
