Aloha ALL,
Got this fine FB a few weeks ago from zackerty. It is called the Boomerang and is the ONLY one zackerty EVER made. Nice and sharp, and the balance is perfect! Man alive, I am gonna cherish this one for sure. It also came with a nicely crafted Kydex sheath. ;)
I hope he chimes in on this to give the specs on his fine knife, as I cannot find the email that details the steel type and wood used for the handle. :o
Mahalo much zackerty...I am honored to own the ONLY "Boomerang" not only in Hawaii, but in the world! What more can I say?
God bless and mahalo zack' ;)

Hi Chad, congrats on your new knife and kudos to Zackerty for a neat work done. Nice name, "The Boomerang", yet I wonder... does it come back after you throw it? ;)

Boomerang? That my friend is a fixed blade Hawkbill. That is one knife design I have been screaming about on the HAWKBILL thread for the Spyder Factory to put on line. That is a splendid design  .
Would be an excellent candidate for the highly desired "Series of New Hawkbills".

Holy Crap that's gorgeous
Boomerang huh? If you threw that at me, you wouldn't be getting it back :p (Of course this is contingent upon my catlike reflexes avoiding the first throw, let's hope I'm paying attention) ;)
That is an excellent piece of work.

Wow!
That thing looks cool! I did notice the shape of the handle design. Seems you and I have had words about that before (the lobed shape).
Very nice work Zackerty.

It is a pleasure, Chad... :)
The rest I made were with a shorter blade and rounded tip, for seatbelt cutting etc for paramedics, and this one I kept, till someone worthy entered my life...
The steel is 440F, which is 440C with cobolt, 416 SS pins, Pimarli scales, similar to Pakkawood.
Hardness is 59RC Rockwell C scale, finish is glass bead blast.
Chisel grind, and somewhat sharp, as Chad might find out, if Mr Prisoner decides to "be" Bruce Lee with Mr Daywalker... :D

So THAT explains the avatar... I had no idea :o
I have seen saws before with similar blade shapes and thought that's what your avatar was. To each his own, eh? But now it all makes sense. And an excellent decision as to the recipient as well! EXCELLENT work, Zack! And congratulations, Chad!!!

Congrats on the score Chad. Nice work Zackerty!
