G-2 and G-10

Whatever happened to G-2 stainless on police models, why has it been replaced with AST-55? And did the cricket ever come with a titanium liner and G-10 scales? Thanks all.

Welcome to the forum. I can't help you with the reasons behind the switch from G-2 to ATS-55 although the figures suggest that it should be a better steel. However I can tell you that the Cricket has never had G10 scales. The original model had aluminium scales and there was a run of Carbon Fibre (CF) scales. Current production is FRN. I believe the liners have always been stainless. In fact I can't recall Spyderco using titanium for liners on any knife.
