Blue Para

I was thinking about knives that might be interesting in other colors. Thought the g-10 on the yojimbo would be nice on the para. Check it out.

:) I would love to see another color on the Para, Spyderco G-10 blue is just to pretty not to use on more knives.

i'd love to see more of the same green as on the Lum Chinese. i know in that case it was aluminum not g-10. the green could look nice in g-10 though.

In fact, even within the ranks of the faithful, there are those who dislike it. If you look back to when the Dodo and Yojimbo were first released, the most frequently asked question for each was "when is it going to be available in black?".

You're right Paul, while most people say that my blue Dodo is quite "Cute", most still ask "Does it come in black?" :rolleyes:

I know the lack of color is a marketing decision, so it's a good thing we get some candy with the sprints :D

well i know i ordered a black dodo but that's because i don't much like blue personally. if it came in tan, red, green, or even grey i would have gotten one of those. that being said i wouldn't expect alot of the full production models to come in crazy coloures but i would like to see more colour in the sprint runs. the Bob Lum Chinese ZDP being black is a bit of a dissapointment.

I've been waiting for the Lum to be re-run, and I'm very happy about it, but...I would have liked to see it in Purple or Gold

pretty much ANYTHING but blac, although my personal preference would have been the red... but purple would have been nice as well.

Very true words Deacon. I've always been a fan of colored Spydies, and a blue Para has been a 'trophy' for some time. The stock thickness of the g10 on the Yojimbo is the same and also made in Golden, so I figured that a sprint run blue Para's would be cost-effective. But with little ELU support, no chance. Still, I do my part by picking up most any colored Spydie that comes out. :D

Black is just more pragmatic. Black handle, black clip, on a pair of black pants.

But I can definitely understand why folks want other colors! :D

i don't like the blue g-10 like on the dodo very much but a darker blue would be very very nice

Wow boxer! That's sure cool, really something to behold. It's a blue carbon fiber right? Did you make it/have it made?

I love photoshopping to see what a knife would look like if it was produced, it's a lot of fun for me.

Yep G10. It's holding up very well. Needs another sharpening. Detent is still great, especially since it's tip-up. Not sure if I'll need another PM after this one :)
