Thank you all for responding to my search for my missing knife!Sal, in response, I was given the knife by a friend in the early nineties. I believe it was a spyderco because it had the serrated edge, round hole and I think I remember a spyderco logo somewhere on it and I had seen another knife that looked similar to mine about 5 or 6 years ago, I believe it had the "soft" rubber material and was definately a spyder, but it was too large for my hand to grip well. Was "spyderco" ever spelled with an "i" instead of a "y" like the insect? I'm thinking that maybe this knife was an older spyderco model or something or maybe even a good spyderco knock off, but it was so well made that I am definately looking for a professionally made blade. Spyderco did make knives that had a plastic belt/pocket clip though, didn't they? If you know whether there are any other places out there that make knives similar to spyderco or the knife that I described, could you let me know? But the rubber/latex handle is definately the part that will ID my requested knife for sure. Does my description of the handle make sense? And it really doesn't sound like anything spyderco has ever made? Maybe I've got a bad description of the handle or am thinking that this company made it when really another did! Also, I will check out the Progrip and see what I find out!!Also, I'm trying to find a really good description of the handles made now by spyderco, can anyone just give me a run down on what G10,or fiberglass with nylon "feels" like? I guess I really am stuck on this handle thing, but the delica that I've seen, has "black zytec" or whatever and I don't really like how that one feels in my hand, it doesn't grip well for me.I really appreciate everything and everyone responding to my request!thanks for your suggestions, keep them coming if you have more (I guess for my knife I will exhaust all avenues to try to get "the one&quot and thanks for the help all!!

Welcome to the forum. A good Spydie knockoff? That's something I have yet to see. ( I have seen some that say "Benchmade" on them )

When I posted in your other thread, the system seemed to "take" the image I thought I attached. Seeing that it hadn't, I just went back and attempted to attach it again. This time it told me the image was too large. I find that hard to believe -- it was about 4" long and 2" high. That's a pretty small pic by most forum software standards.

I can't remember now, but believe I'd just copied the image from Knife Center. It might have been from somewhere else, but don't think so.

Certainly, the ProGrip looks/sounds the most like the knife you describe.

Good luck in your quest.
