OK, this might sound like a stupid question, but I'm curious. If you could only have 1 Spyderco, which would it be and why? Obviously this question is totally hypothetical, but I guess that its my round about way of asking which Spyderco knife is your favorite.
It would be incredibiy difficult, but if I had to choose I would select my Calypso Jr. Ltwt PE because it is a great design, cuts like a hot knife through butter, and is very sheeple friendly.

Without question it would be the Wegner. This knife rocks! It is tough as nails and handles a wide variety of tasks in an excellent way.

Wegner, but make it VG-10!
it does anything my cricket can't...
We all start with 10 fingers. Those with Spydies have 9 to spare, Still need a thumb. Good thing I still have 8 to spare...
Right now I'd pick my Harpy. The serrations and blade shape flat out cut.

Guess I'd have to join the Wegner crowd. But, I surely would stand on tiptoe to watch my Native FRN go out of sight.

Plain edge Military. Flat ground blade and a large handle with a choil which make it suitable for all manner of tasks.

If just one it would have to be my PE SS Delica. This is based on the fact that in part I work in a high density sheeple area. But as well as that the SS Delica feals really nice in the hand and cuts like a demon. The only thing I would change would be to upgrade the blade to VG-10.
That said it would be a very brave person who tried to take my PE Military away from me <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>

Without question any one of the Calypso line. With the Calypso jr. the only one in production
now that would be the one for me (and is). There was thread here a while back that asked
for color to be added the Calypso jr. handles. Sure it would increase inventory cost ,but it
also might increase sales of the wonderful little knife. There is one other point that makes this
knife important to me ......it's NOT a liner lock. Linerlocks are not left hand friendly.

Lum Chinese.
I live in San Francisco and am a food-a-holic. The LC is great for all types of in-the-kitchen and at the picnic functions. Also can be used discretly at a restaurant instead of the ridiculous things that pass for knives, even in the finest restaurants.
I just wish I could get some fixed blade versions. I would use them in the kitchen for most things. Funny, since you would think that this design would be available in Chinatown, but it isn't.
Does anyone know how get hold of Bob Lum? I will try to pursue through him.

Right now it's my (FB02 I think) drop-point Moran. Or maybe it's my new Gunting set? Or maybe my future Wegner "notalynx?"

How dare you bring up this topic! Carrying only ONE Spyderco is a sin!!! However, I guess I'd have to pick the SS Harpy. It can pretty much do anything that I expect out of a hard use knife. But then there's the Mouse, and Toad, and the Wegner, and the Delica, and......

Not a difficlt or stupid question at all. My choice is very easy "ROOKIE" w/G-10 scales and plain edge. Best darn knife I've ever owned and handles every task I"ve ever called upon it to perform with ease.

I would also tend to go with the PE Military.

I think it would have to be my pe military. The steel holds a mean edge nd I love the shape of the knife because it fits so well in my hand in a variety of positions.
