Serrations

I have 2 serrated spydies(Harpy,ss Standard)and i would know if it's normal the serrations point are round and they are not really sharp(i always use 204).

Today it is a great day i decided to remove serrations on my C05.I was afraid to do this but it is do now and the work was easy(I had never failed,spydie make me lucky<img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>)I am happy because i do not like serrations(but i love my Harpy)Perhaps i will transform my C05 in a C01<img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>(I think it will be easy too but i want to sharpen the edge before do this)
I think some of you think i'm fool and a blasphemer but i know what i'm doing.

I'm pretty sure some knifemakers started out by modifying the knives they had. Maybe you will end up making a whole new knife. And maybe be the next Sal. <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>

Hello chinook,it is forbidden to make knives in the school(some students make it but they are older than me)and i havenot much equipment at home but i want to find a back stand (especially to make knives).

Hi Caleb
I too had a lot of trouble with the error message when trying to post. My problem was in which way I came in to the thread. If I enter from the main forums page then I don't get the error. I get it every time if I bookmark the general discussion page and bypass the main page.

Anyway, at least you can learn some methods and techniques at school, doing some other projects, for when you get your own equipment and tools.

I am terrible with my hands. I wish I had the patience and skill to do some little mods on my knives. I have a Dremel tool which is very nice for precise grinding and polishing, butt so far I am like a 500 pound gorilla with it.

Post a picture of your work if you can. I'd like to see it.

My scanner is out of work and my printer too
I will post a pic when my scanner will work and when my C05 will be C01 it is promise
I will buy a dremel tool later in the year perhaps in 2002(i will certainly have a civvie or a matri and chinook<img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>)

I've forgot to say that i've sharpen it on one side like Emerson knives(15&#176; and then i use 30&#176;back bevel on the 204).My C05pe will not hold edge but it will be incredibly sharp!!!<img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>
