I am thinking about the native ll for my next Spydie. How does it compare in size and handleing to the frn endura. Is the AUS 10 blade a lot better than the AUS 8.

If you take a look at Spyderco's knife steel chart, you can see that the only appreciable difference between AUS8 and AUS10 is the amount of carbon in the mix. The increased carbon allows increased hardness of the steel. It also enables more carbides to be formed, carbides which are harder than the steel matrix, so theoretically, it should hold an edge a bit better. I don't think it can be perceived as a quantum leap tho, even tho Cold Steel would have you think so.

What about handleing. Is it as easy to open and close as the endura?
