I was reading the thread about Eric's initials on his designs, and the conversation turned to a discussion of logos, and it was brought up that the Byrd knives don't have a logo.

I had to think about it at first, and then grabbed one of my Crossbills and checked. They're right, it doesn't have a logo at all.

So I guess the question is, why doesn't the Byrd line have it's own logo?

Hey, Spyderco let us come up with the slogans, want to let us come up with the logo too :p

i would think something similarly highly representational with stylized simplicty as the spyerco bug. basically what i'm saying is a logo of a bird but not exactly litterally a bird.

Why not a stylized birds head? The head and beak would match the comet shaped hole quite well.

How about the other bird? An upraised middle finger to represent that quality and inexpensive don't have to be mutally exclusive....;)

That goes on the clip, so everyone can see it when you have it clipped to a pocket :p
