Hello Kraziekurtis.

Are you used to receive welcome messages whenever you join a Forum? Cus if so, don't expect one whenever you join one, I never got one either. Not on this one, never. I didn't asked for it anyway...

But before I drift away completely, hello. Welcome to the Forum. I'm sure we'll have lots of fun and interesting conversations. Maybe we'll get to know eachother more, that'd be very interesting.

So what kind of knifes do you own?

Ummmmm..... No. This has been the most helpfull forum I have ever been to. I have never seen a fight on this site. We are all able to give our 2 cents with freedom. I was never given a welcome at this site but I got one at www.bladeforums.com. The guys and girls here help me more though.

We all start with 10 fingers. Those with Spydies have 9 to spare, Still need a thumb. Good thing I still have 8 to spare...

At least 2 people welcomed you on the thread you titled "Hello." That's better than some get. Mostly, it is an oversite, with people excited about answering the question(s) you ask. This is a very friendly, gentle forum compared to many.

If, as would seem realistic, you posted that thread first, then everyone who read it would have seen that you'd been welcomed and probably not bother to do it again.

Many of us try to be extra careful with younger folks, but not everybody is that way. Just yesterday, a grown man slammed a 13-year old boy hard. Only to feel good about being nasty so far as I can see. I know he lost the little bit of respect I had for him, when he did that. But, nobody came to that kid's rescue, and I don't think anything has happened here to rescue you from, has it?

A piece of advice for free: If you ask the opinion of other forumites about knife purchases, and receive it, then turning right around and announcing that you're going to buy something that wasn't the recommendation of most of the people who responded, isn't a great way to get people to take you seriously.

Hi Kraziekurtis. Welcome to the Spyderco forum. I always made it a rule to try to welcome every new name that I see. Sometmes others will do it for me. With the many new visitors and my workload, it isn't always possible anymore. However, I am thankful that some like Samo are often there to assist in making visitors welcome here.

However, I must add that I do not think welcoming new visitors to forums is a very common practice in most forums.?

I hope you'll "hang out" and enjoy.
