Okay, I know they are bad for me, but I can't help it! I've rekindled my love affair with Ramen Noodles, and have been enjoying at least one pack a day .

I really like the Beef, Chicken Mushroom, Shrimp, and all the spicey ones.

So, what's your poison? :D

I go with Korean company - shin ramen. Its really good, I usually get kim chi flavor. Add in some green onion and an egg or two and you've got a real meal.

Pork, which for some reason is the hardest flavor to find around here. Been avoiding it since I've been dieting, seems like an awful lot of calories from not very much food, considering it is neither greasy or sweet. Not to mention the fact that it darn near uses up my entire sodium quota for the day.

Not to hijack your thread, but this is another food product, like SPAM, where the "serving size" listed on the package is, IMHO, unrealistic. Does anyone here actually "split" a package of ramen noodles with someone else?

No preference here but brand certainly makes a difference. As others alluded, some of the Asian brands are far superior to that hardened cardboard known as Ramen. Best place to get them is in the Asian markets...assuming you have such luxuries in your hometown.

Another vote for Kimchi Shin Ramyun.
Yes, I like to add an egg and onions, sometimes cheese...
But all Ramen is good, anyway. :)

Forget cooking them in water though, just break them up and spread them out on a cookie sheet, and bake at 350-400 till brown. Dip 'em in whatever sauce you can think of sweet, sour, spicy, etc. Really, really good snack, much better than cooked soft. :p

Ahh, my favorite dish!!! I buy the Chicken by the case. One case lasts me 24 days if I eat only one pack per day. Sometimes I will indulge and eat two packs. I love the plain Chicken. Sometimes when I get hungry for sphaghetti, I'll make my own sauce and put just the Ramon noodles in the sauce. It's just like eating angel hair spaghetti, at least it is for me. Can't let a day go by without my Ramon Chicken noodle soup! :D

I've been eating Ramen for who knows how long, but currently my favorite way to eat it is: Chicken, cooked with some hot peppers, drain the broth, add a little black pepper & olive oil. I guess I might take it a little to seriusly, My wife make a great dish with beef Ramen, strips of beef, & red cabage. Very good. :)

Holy college moment, I lived on that stuff (and Spam, now that's yummy stuff) for 4 years! brings back lots of bad digestive memories :o . I had to give it up because I couldn't afford the toilet paper  . I liked the Korean Kim Che version the best, with the Japanese imported (also cheap) beef a close second.
Cheers,
Rob

I don't know how you guys eat that junk but in denver there is a fresh ramen noodle house called oshima ramen. instant ramen sucks compared to freshly made beef or pork ramen :D . Find a ramen house near you, I am sure you will look at instant ramen in a different way after eating the fresh stuff.

My Faviorite is the Shrimp, But I like to cook the noodles and then drain the water and even pat it with paper towel to get as dry as possible, then I like to put the shirmop flavor on there. Its great.

I dont think they have MSG

Nope, no MSG that I'm aware of(don't have the label in front of me though), just enough sodium to send your blood pressure into 4 digits
