well, I managed to score a SE executive on ebay, in a lot of knives. I got a crappy china lockback that doesn't lock, a "panther bantam" with a snapped off blade, and a black CE ladybug that has seen better days, with the executive, which is in good to very good condition. a user, just like I like 'em. I've been looking for the executive since I got a left handed one over the winter. This one locks up tight, and looks like it has been sharpened once or twice. there are not many scratches on the handle, and the clip and blade have no play. It needs a little oil on the pivot, and a cleaning inside, because it is tight to open, and then it is onto the competition with the copilot, to decide which will be carried. :) pics to come later

peteCongrats Pete! Know you've been on the prowl for one of them, glad you found one, and that it's in better shape that its companions were. As for the Ladybug, perhaps you could grind it like that nasty little toy Sal sometimes carries. :D

Pics Deacon Pics! It's a rainy day and I have nothing to do! I ground the broken tip of the small panther bantam into a sheepsfoot, and it's on its way to being a small wharncliffe for my brother. I have enough ladybugs, that this baby may just become like that nasty little toy, as soon as I find out what it looks like!

peteWell, AFAIK, there are at least two of them in existence. Sal has one, and Jurphaas the other. Jur posted a picture of his about a year back, but the image seems to have disappeared off the hosting server.
Here's the thread (http://66.113.178.251/forums/showthread.php?t=13846&highlight=mosquito), just so you don't think I'm nuts. :D If he spots this, perhaps he'll re-post it, or perhaps Ted may find it hiding somewhere on his server and post it.
