What bottom garments do you guys wear when carrying your wave knives?
The wave doesn't work well on my khakis, but do on my jeans and cargo shorts. Probably the way they were designed. My khaki pockets are weird.

i only wear jeans but i do have a pair of carpenter jeans that have these wierd pockets with flaps that hang over in front of the pocket. makes the edge of the pocket like double thick and makes carrying pretty much anything with a clip a pain in the arse.

Try this...
Try removing the knife more at a rearward 45 degree angle (up and back). I find this works in almost any pocket. This works best with pockets that have that angled opening found on some shorts and dress pants. This makes sure the wave catches the pocket seam.
I use the 45 degree pull on all opens, so I never have to adjust.
(I learned this with my Waved Emerson Mini-Commander, that gave me fits when I first got it! :) )

I wear khakis from either Old Navy or Gap and my waved Delica works just fine. If you don't like the down and back option, try switching your clip so you can pull up and forward and have the knife in an ice pick grip. I keep my Delica on my left side with the clip unchanged from the factory and I pull it out like that (tip down).

I wear the 5-11 pants when working and have never had a problem with a waved knife. But the 45 degree pull sounds like a good idea. Thats what I do if my pants are a little baggy.

I assumed this was going to be about "waved" pants, IE pants that have been runied by the wave. hehe, I havn't tried one yet but when the Pikal comes along I will.
Getting the Wave to work is a trick but once you get the hang of it you'll see they can work on any corner of a pocket. I won't repeat the steps involved since it has already been covered.
As for what I wear, the pants that I've found to hold up the best are from Backyard Outfitters. www.backyardoutfitter.com
Get you some of the Woolrich Elite tactical series pants. They make both shorts and long leg in khaki, black and I think olive green. I have khaki ones and love them. The long leg pants are pretty hot in the summer though but for Waved knife carriers these are better than average pants. They aren't immune to the effects but certainly hold up longer to both clips and Waves better for me. I might also add that Ernie Emerson wears these himself. In fact he is the one that told me about them.
