I'll admit I've been seriously contemplating a Ti framelock, despite my usual vehement opposition to such an expensive style of knife. But I figure it could be fun to try. Still have the same problem though, nobody makes one with the lock on the correct side.

Are there are any production companies that make left handed framelocks, or should I go custom.

I know Sebenzas can come left handed, but the ergos on the Sebenza are so bad I can't bring myself to pay $400 for it.

Any suggestions?

Have you held a Sebenza?
I think the ergos on them are great.

I have, and it just felt boxy to me. I like my knives like I like my women, with curves

Well, how about a Lochsa.

Well, how about a Lochsa.

I was definitely thinking about it, they look like great knives, but I hear the wait time is something like two years, I don't mind up to six months, but at two years, I might not even be into that style of knife by the time I get it.

Tastes change. :o

Well, you could get a used Sebbie, then have it customized.

The used market for them ain't what it used to be (with all the new competition), so they don't set you back a leg anymore.

A little grinding and a refinish should give a suitable handle, and the stock blade shape is pretty good to begin with.

Also, maybe DDR might have something of interest.

You can't even order a Scott Cook knife now. The waiting list is 2 years and he quit taking orders 1-2 months ago. I got lucky and put in an order before that. Any lefty custon Ti framelock is going to start at $750. Kevin Wilkins makes some great framelocks and some have a spyder hole. He has permission to use it. His waiting list is about 6 months. But, $750 is close to what you will pay. Bob lum is also about 2 years out. I think the Sebbie Classic feel great in my hand. I would go with it over the Regular model. Rick Hinderer makes his XM-18 in lefty too. It is a titanium framelock. I think it is $385.

Thanks, I was looking at Kevin Wilkins' knives, though hadn't thought of Rick Hinderer. It's not the price I'm worried about. I'm well aware that a left Ti Framelock would be costly, but 2 years of waiting is far longer than I'm willing to wait for anything.

Might have to rethink this idea of a lefty Ti framelock, put it on hold for a while. Better see if I still want one in a few months, before I plunk down money and wait forever. :o

Did you check Anso knives? I have an order for a gekko and he makes great folders for under $400.00 in framelock. I am sure he will do a leftie and his wait is about 6-10 months.
