Times up!
The winner is SoCal Operator with # 564.
The lucky number was 587.
Thanks everyone. :)
It has been brought to my attention that I have reached 3,000 posts on this forum. That means it’s contest time.
Contest rules:
I have selected a number between 1, and 1000.
The first to guess that number wins. The contest runs from now until July 5, 1800 Detroit time. If nobody has properly guessed by the end of the deadline, then the winner will be whoever is closest. In the event of a tiebreaker, the winner will be the lower number.
Prize for this contest will be one of my JFBF’s in toxic green and black (for all you USN fans out there).
I've posted a picture of the finished product. It's a little different than the original pic. Native III not included. The stem is approximately 4 1/2-inches long, with a 1-inch Chrome steel ball bearing inside the Monkey's Fist. The loop is 2 5/8-inches long.
Only one guess per person please.
God Bless, and Good luck.

What is JFBF?
...
Look at the pic in they opening post. That one is a Mini-JFBF (stands for Jumbo Fat Boy Fob :D ). The regular JFBF is just on a larger scale. It was designed by Gander_Man over at CPF, and he commisioned me to make them. It involves a Monkey's Fist with a BB inside, and then some sort of sinnet/stitch for a stem/handle. I usually use a Square/Round Sennit, but sometimes a twist or something elst. :D

ebay is a good place to start. I'll tell you that I had a dickens of a time finding them at first, but did manage to find a place locally. I also have 3/4", and 1 1/4" chromesteel BB's, as well as 3/8", 1/2", 3/4", and 1" stainless steel BB's. None of them are overly cheap, and the SS ones are probably about three times as much.

Heh, forgive me if anyone has already mentioned this in the howevermany pages of this thread, but I just noticed something:
the subject says "3,000K"... Wouldn't that mean 3,000,000 posts? :p
I see that a lot in the newspaper ads that I proofread: people advertising cars sometimes say things like, "Only 29,000K miles"... LOL! 29,000,000 miles? Must be a Subaru or Toyota or something!

Hi, Ghostrider. Pretty awesome looking FOB's & Lanyards. I was wondering how one would go about ordering some of these. I'm really interested in the one you offered as a prize in your contest. Thanks and keep up the good work.
