Sal & Spyderco,

I have been looking forward to the Temperance since I saw the fist pictures some two years ago. This is a knife that has almost everything I like in a folder: it's just small enough for office carry (I think), has a flat ground quality steel blade, a hand filling handle and a new, strong, lock (it will be my first compressionlock knife). It also has an interesting look and Spyderhole, which I like. The question is how and where can I lay my hands on one?

I live in Europe not very near a quality knife store, and I have read post where even Americans seem to have trouble finding a good dealer for this knife. So, Sal and Spyderco please help me find a place where I can order one, in Europe or America.

Thank you!

Oh, and one more question, just out of curiosity, why is the knife called Temperance?

Hi JD. The Lil' Temperance is a fairly low production model (at this time) so it will take a while to "trickle" out into the marketplace. The "Collector club" will get theirs first which will take several months. Some of the collectors buy their numbered models to sell, but I don't know who they might be.

I would get your favoraite dealer to order one for you. That way you'll be earlier on the list. Sorry they are so hard to get. I'll see what I can do about improving production quantities onced we see the reaction to the model. It is unusual and may not appeal to a large number of ELUs.
