i was cleaning my manix today and noticed when in the light just right, i can see little lines on the blade all over the blade on all parts of the blade.. is this just the way it was cut or machined? i know there isnt anything wrong with my Manix but i was just wondering what you guys think about it? am i missing something?

You should see very faint verticle lines running perpendicular to the edge, those are the lines from grinding the blades. You may also see similar lines on the flats of the blade(may or may not run the same direction). That's the lines from finishing. The satin finish used on most Spyders creates a pattern of lines all running in the same direction.

Beadblast bladles have a different appearance close up, and stonewashed does as well.

If it's what I think you're talking about, it's just the finish of the knife.

It seems like those lines you are referring to are kind of unique to Golden Colorado made Spyders. I have noticed that especially on the Lil Temperance models even more so than the Manix models.

The Gunting and the Centofante II seem to be exceptions to this rule. I can assure you that there is nothing at all wrong with the blade. Just the way they were finished at the Golden CO plant. :spyder:
