OK fellow spydernuts,

Which is your favourite scene from the sharpmaker 204 video?

I find the scene from the serrated edged knives sharpening session most enlightening!

BTW - The ads at the end of the video were AWESOME too!

I dont know about enlightening, but I like the scene that is flashed by in the beginning sequence where Sal cuts a round hole in a piece of paper that he's holding up by the corner. That is so impressive. I cant seem to get my knives sharp enough, or paper of the right stifness and thinness to be able to do that. (any secrets to that trick?)

Dude - I don't mean to be a smart ass, but did you follow the steps? *har-har!*

Well, that scene is only about 5 seconds (if that) in length, and there are no steps given. I did follow the sharpening steps nad I got my knife super sharp. I think part of the trick is to hold the paper bent slightly so that the bend gives it enough rigidity that you can cut the circular hole. I can cut straight lines (of course) but I cant make the curve part of hte circle without the paper folding over.

Hi Mundele. Yes, there are a few "tricks" besides having a very sharp knife. Have to show you in person, what to practice. Perhaps we'll meet at a show?

Is there a list of shows somewhere on the web?

Good idea- is there a list of the shows that you go to Sal? That way more of us "spydernuts" can show up and pester you with our new ideas. Ok we'll just show up and look at all the cool stuff you bring with you.

Guys - I'll move mountains and swim the seven seas to get a live tutorial from Sal at the shows! Time to search for a sponsor back here! *hee-hee!*
Ummm, don't you think the TV commercials at the end of the video are cool? My favourite is the firefighter and EMT commercial! THAT really ROCKS!

John - That rumour had better be true dude! I want to learn to sharpen my paper... *hee-hee!* That guy who posed some of the question in the video - I think he's some sort of actor. Seen him in some TV flick, Ummm, must be my imagination...
