4th of July Fireworks and Lightening

Last night we attented the annual Fireworks display in Spokane, WA. It was good as always, but it had an added feature last night. We kept watching the thunderheads building as the night grew on. They actually started the firework display a bit early this year, I think because of the possibility of an electrical storm. Well, the two started at about the same time. I have yet to get a good picture of any fireworks or of lighteniing for that matter, but what follows is a couple shots I did get last night. Not awesome pictures, but will give you some idea of what we saw. The two together were amazing. Man's fireworks along with God's fireworks. It was pretty spectacular.

Great pics Ron,thanks for sharing.Canada day was July 1st and we had a party at our cottage.The grand finale was to be a small fireworks display my bro in law and I put on each year.Heavy rain starting around 6:00 put a stop to that.Glad you enjoyed yours.

Other than the tiniest bit of blur in the top pic, I don't see anything wrong with them. Great pics.

I love how you were able to get the fireworks and lightning in the second one. Now that is some great timing.

This year, I went to Cape Charles for the fire department's fireworks show. It's a shame it was so hazy, because Busch Gardens was having their show at the same time. You could see them lighting up the clouds, but that was about it. On the clear nights, you can watch Virginia Beach, Cape Charles, and Busch Gardens.

I got to spend my 4th at the new stadium for the Chicago Fire, with a fireworks show after the match. We won! w00t!

I was in the area on the 4th and I was thinking the fireworks were pretty cool till a double flash of lightening lit the lake I was at as bright as daylight.
Gods fireworks really won. :)
