Pictures from the Belgium forum.
Made by Toni Oostendorp, a young Dutch knifemaker and smith.
A very friendly guy and he also has a weak spot for making large Bowies.
Trains with them too.

Nope, it's beadblasted. ATS-34 and G-10, stainless steel pins.

What other Forum could we spend so much time comparing notes on one of the most misunderstood knife blade variations of all time. It is refreshing to see that others are also catching on. I does make me feel like the big thread was not done in vain as I was beginning to think that it was.

But now is the time for a New Hawkbill>> actually even a series of them. Truly a valuable cutlery tool and probably also the most misunderstood one at that. :spyder:

Is that convex ground, or hollow ground? The handle shape almost reminds me of some of the Snody's I've seen. Very nice :D

JD, I'm with you! I would like to see hawkbills of different sizes...different curvatures (think karambit), and definitely with different handle materials!

Hawkbills...*drools*

:p

The grind is flat so that makes it a sabre grind.
Mostly hand filed.
The edge has still to be sharpened.
