Hello everyone,
I tried to read up as much as I could to avoid asking a question already asked. I am looking to purchase a civilian either G-10 or CF, not sure which, any help would be appreciated. My real question is I have been told by one dealer that the Civilian is sold only in the zippered pouch, that it is one of the knives by spyderco that isn't sold in a box. This seems fishy to me and thought that I would check and see if this is true. Thanks for any info before hand.

Yes, both my Civilians came in a zippered case with the Spyderco logo imprinted on them. This is with a period of 2 years between purchases.

Yes that knife is supplied with a zippered pouch w/padding on the inside.
We even sell them seperatly (16.95).
I use them to store s.s. handled models so they are less prone to scratch up.
Yes they do come with a zippered pouch. They are much nicer than the cardboard box.
Thinking of getting a few for my other knives.

Thanks for all the fast replies. Do they just come in the padded case with out any sort of box or do they come in a box with the padded case? The civilian I'm looking at buying just comes in the padded case. It has the id sticker/stamp on the back but just being cautious of buying a fake.

Mine came from Spyderco's main UK dealer in just the pouch / no box.
Can't say I missed the box that much.

All Civilians are shipped in the zippered case. The exception was the first issue of carbon fiber handles. These came in a box, no sheath. Spyderco corrected that and sent dealers who asked, the sheaths. For example, when we send dealers that knife, we send the boxed knife and the sheath. The point being, there may be some dealers who only have the early issues as boxed, no sheath.

crewpsu and moderator,
I too got the same error message and ended up with two posts trying to send it again. I thought the first one was no good due to the error message. I got the same error message on the second post but ignored it.
The edit is to say the same error message again appered on this reply.
My problem or Spyderco's ???
Attention moderator - I did not get the error message on the edit :><img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>
