I want a spydie tat, but i suck at art...anyone want to help out. I am open to bugs, blades, whatever. Just let me know. Thanks...if someone wants to be amazing and make a drawing of a set of meat tags with a swik on them i woudl pay to be able to use it. or, something with USMC integrated...regardless i just need help

I once said(and it still stands ;) ) that I will have the very spyderbug tattoo'ed(sp) for a Captain with a fully serrated curve :D

Sounds like a fair deal to me. Sal gets some free advertising (depending on where the tattoo is :eek: :p ) and you get a totally bad@$$ Captain. I'll paint a :spyder: on my car if Sal makes a Captain with a serrated curve!

i like the swik. I like it a lot...the knife and the ink. I wonder if i coudl get that with the happy little spyderbug on the blade...i mean like just not inked in. But, i am going to try to bring that in to the artist here in town and get it done. unless anyone near Monterey on here knows how to do some good ink.
i am also not sure where i want it yet.

I'm just not for putting permanent ink on my body that consists of a logo belonging to someone else or a company, etc.

What if I put a Subaru logo on my body (I love my car and Subarus), and then Subaru did something I really disliked later on, and I came to hate Subaru?

I'm not saying that Sal is going to do anything obnoxious... but what if the unforeseeable happened? What if something went on and suddenly United Cutlery decided to do a hostile takeover of Spyderco and the knives went to s***? Would one still want their Spyderco tattoo, now that it meant something awful?

Just something to think about. Tattoos should be done only after considerable forethought.

Other than a personal preference, I don't see the connection between the Swick and U.S.M.C. ...

I can more easily see the connection between the "Military" knife and the corps, as in the original design posted. That one was indeed pretty cool.

One of the primary points that made the Military version of the logo you created better was the fact that the ball chain goes through the Spyderhole!

That's essentially to the connection between knife and tags.

Well, my personal connection is that, I am in the Marine Corps, and i never leave my swik. I have a swik on my Dog Tag Chain, and i am planning on getting my tags tattoo'd on. So, i figured...why not just get the swik on there with a spydie bug...i was planning on getting a bug eventually anyway. I am still trying to figure out how that will fit, however. i am also considering just simply doing a fully open poice somewhere (between the shoulder blades, on my forearm, etc.) considering that that is my other edc. Or i could always go with my para, or a little perrin...but i want a real spydie. and i like the bug. I know for sure i am going with my tags...i just dont know what to do about a spyderco integrated, or serperate, design. I dont know if that makes sense...korean screws with your mind

I've been driving around for almost a year now with the Spyderco bug sticker on the back windshield of my car :D

i still havent gotten my tat...but, i am finalizing the design and will be getting it after my next paycheck. i will be sure to post pics...for my first i have gone a slightly different direction than i first planned, but you will have ot see.
