I just received my Remote-release in the mail. It was larger than I expected and *very nice*. Also, it's got good weight and balance without being burdensome. My rating: 10/10.

On another note, I have never carried knives on planes that are not checked in with my lugagge, and I have not found it to be such a hassle. I have traveled with another person's ticket, though. In 1999 I went to Washington, D.C. for a couple of weeks because another person could not go, and I used her ticket. I was never asked for an ID and I traveled both ways under another name. I have traveled in several other countries, and I still think American airports in general are the loosest when it comes to security. I am not saying it's a bad thing but, unfortunately, many people can take advantage of these situations to harm others. I just hope it does not get worse than this.

Hi Kahz. Thanx for the kind words on the Remote, hope you enjoy the design.

I don't think that it would be more than an inconvenience for regular flyers. But IMHO, I don't think that making knives illegal to fly with will stop terrorists.

I believe terrorism is against the law and it hasn't seem to stop them.

I will take more than a "ban" to protect our flyers.

Unfortunately, nothing will stop them, I am sure of this, and it makes me sad.

As long as security measures don't step on individual freedom, I don't think not carrying knives on planes is something people cannot adjust to. I have been a knife lover and a traveler all my life, and I have not felt like not carrying a knife aboard a plane makes me incomplete.

We can go on and on about individual freedom, but it would not be productive. This is my own opinion as well.
