View Full Version : **Wanted** old Delica

I lost my favorite tool. I'm sure it is in the pocket of a pair of pants that went missing a few weeks ago. It was an older, 50/50, Delica with a smooth Zytel clip. All the new ones are metal, and I really liked the old clip because it didn't scratch leather seats.
I'm having a hard time finding a replacement. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I should look?

Damillster,
I would start with ebay. Search for "spyderco" as there are usually a few pages of them, and most have pictures of the knives.
Also go to "www.bladeforums.com and look under their exchange section, I think it's called.
Good luck, Jeff/1911.

Thanks, Jeff. I've looked at Ebay, but most of the Delicas are new.
I'll try your other link.

Hi Damillser. Welcome to the Spyderco forum.
Sorry for your loss, hope you find one. If you have no luck, let me know. I can dig through our old used knives and see if there is something worth cleaning up.

Thanks for all the great responses. I have just a couple more questions...regarding the Delica blades.
My old knife used G-2. I've seen newer Delicas advertised with ATS-55, AUS-6 and AUS-8 (I think).
Can anyone tell me when they changed, and why? Which metal is better?
