Well my friends, I will officially be stepping down as an assisting Moderator on both of the official Spyderco discussion fora during this month, and Kristi is now the primary Moderator. Sal and Joyce will continue to contribute to all of the official Spyderco fora as they always have, and Sal of course will continue to be found on fora far and wide, anywhere knives are seriously discussed.
I will return to being an ordinary member and troublemaker.
I will continue to assist in Moderating for the rest of this month.
Congrats to Kristi.
thanks carlos, for your hard work i'm sure, to help make our visits here as enjoyable as possible. nice work and take it easy dude!

Poor Kristi's gonna have to babysit us all alone now:eek: Better behave yourselves ladies and gentlemen;)

Sorry I didn't get to know you better Carlos, but the way these forums are, I'm sure you've been doing a great job modding this place.
EDIT: What am I talking about, I can still get to know you. Just not as a mod, ;)

Thanks Vincent.
Spyderco has decided to take all of the moderating in-house given their increasing investment in their internet presence and public relations. I am a 'friend of Sal,' as Joyce said once, not a Spyderco employee. All internet representation will now be properly official and a clear branch of Spyderco Marketing (Joyce) and Sales (Kristi).
In addition, employment changes on my end have left me with little time to do a very thorough job of moderating, while it is part of Kristi's day job to oversee things - she can give it her full attention. Likewise I have been increasingly out of the loop in terms of developments and current events at Spyderco, whereas Kristi is at Golden in person and thus has immediate access to any information the forum needs.
On the whole it is a mutually appropriate decision. It is a sad moment for me, but the growth of the community - and my personal growth - requires this change.

Thanks for the many years of great modding!
I'm glad that you are still hanging around. It would not be good being the only "trouble maker" here!
Cheers, Ken

ok sounds ok to me, ive always enjoyed your leadership here. Hopefully you will stick around.
I dont really see a need for a change, I mean you are trusted and I havent noticed you ever abusing your powers as a modderator. It just seems to me the more modderators the better and theres not really a need to only have a select few, when you can have more and be able to do the job.
but whatever I guess.
