there are speculations all over the net, but we will know nothing until Oct 15th when the 2002 books come out... the dealers(or Sal) will then be able to give us info on new models and the discontinued ones.
We all start with 10 fingers. Those with Spydies have 9 to spare, Still need a thumb. Good thing I still have 8 to spare...

The knives listed on our web site are the current "discontinued" list. We have all listed iin stock at closeout prices.
As others are discontinued we will update our site.

Hi Hy. We try to hold onto that info until the new catalog goes out. Usually the disconinued items are around for a while even after we stop handling them.
John will usually have them all (don't know how he does it). SFO will sometmes have them for a while.
Also, once they are disconinued, the price usually goes down (for a while anyway).
Not to worry.

Are those catalogs available to everyone, or just dealers?

Sal,
Could the forum users get the new catalogues as soon as they are available ?
I've been carrying my dealer catalogue since I received it, and I've managed (without a lot of hard work) to take a few people into buying. Some have even purchased 2 or 3.

I also would like to have the new catolog as soon as it is printed.

I'd really like to get one of the new catalogues as well.
Other manufacturers (eg Cold Steel) send them out on request. I'd like to think that Spyderco with such excellent service and great products could offer this to Forum members.

They send out user catalogs on request. Dealer ones are harder to get, just have your supplier grab one for yah though.
Cutting Edge is getting a dealer one for me. After the amount of ppl I have buying from there, they let me borrow other dealer ones(giving me a spyderco one), and I have ppl look at them and buy from them.

Yes, just ask customer services for the catalogue. The pictures are great, I bought 2 more based on the pictures alone <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>
