Okay, a while ago I asked everyone if I should get the Pro File or Sharpmaker.

Everybody told me to go with the Sharpmaker. I went to my local dealer, but they didn't have the Sharpmaker, so I got the C01S Worker. The next time I was there I bought the SS Harpy ( cool knife ).

Well, they got the Sharpmaker in, and now I'm probably going to buy it this weekend.

Before I do, I would love to hear your user opinions on it. Is it REALLY that easy to use? Also, is the Harpy easy to sharpen on it?

Thanks for any help.

Got mine this week...
Delica(plain), Dragonfly(plain), Cricket(serr), Wegner jr(40/60) all razor sharp now...

It's easier than benchstones, and I've been using them for 12yrs.

We all start with 10 fingers. Those with Spydies have 9 to spare, Still need a thumb. Good thing I still have 8 to spare...

There is flat out no easier, better way to sharpen serrations. I use this thing about every other day, so I've developed speed with it, but as long as you can hold a knife straight up and down, you can use it like a champ. This thing could be run by a poorly trained monkey...like some of the people I've worked with...

Its all fun and games til somebody loses an eye, then its fun annd games you can't see.

I'd have to say I was still a bit skeptical about any home sharpening product - I'd tried normal stones over the years on other knives without much joy.

I was really impressesd with the ease of use of my Sharpmaker (it's the older model 203) - even without the instructional video, I manged to get great results quickly on my oldest Spydercos - serrated and plain.

Go for it.
