Terrorists & Florida MA / MBC ?????????

CNN is reporting more FBI investigation of a gym in Florida where one (or more) of the hijackers studied MA including MBC.

Anyone hearing more on this?

According to this article he was being taught unarmed defense against guns/knives, as opposed to MBC.

OK..again..no problemo..
Bert Rodriquez the personal trainer and owner of a Florida gym..US 1 Fitness Center, was the trainer and instructor (unfortunately) for Ziad Jarrahi...Jarrahi flew one of the planes into the WTC..
he took a few martial arts clasess called Street Tactics ..who knows the curriculumn..
there was no knife fighting , MBC or anything of the like..as we know it..
The FBI has the files..Jarrahi was only there May to August..
Claimed he was studying business and flying at school..

By the way they used boxcutters and non metalic knife like objects...ceramic knives, G10 etc..


But no MBC..

Bram - the ever present problem - who to teach and who to send on his way...I thought about it lately - and am happy I don't have to lok back and ask myself - have I otught some BG how to do this and that?

In past martial art schools - and in some places to this day (orthodox schools like the tai chi system I study) a student has to go through A LOT of tests and years of studying and practicing to become acquainted with the secrets of the system...

Usually a lifetime of dedication and practice is enough...

In this day and age of instant me2 way of teaching and easily frightened and sheepled people - not much of training is needed anyway...just plain determination...and a few G-10 POS...

Too bad.

I don't look back..nor do I have set standards for throwing someone out..
I don't want to teach a BG BUt in my case since I don't teach killing but restraint of force..limited force..less than lehal response to a situation.. I don't think a BG would profit from my teaching..

Unfortunately.. I am bigoted..and biased and in the worlds current state...I don't teach any from the Middle East except those from Israel..
If the situation in the world changes.. I guess maybe I'll change my thoughts on this.

Thats how I stay out of trouble there.

I don;t believe in testing someone to see if hes good enough for me to teach..
I teach all of those who come to my OPEN semninars.. My private students are family and they are a very small group..
I limit those that come to my "closed seminars"..
no testing..just plain old restrictions and rules..ROFL..

BUt make no mistake about it..the MO..stabbing to death and throat cutting are not the MO of the MBC..Mike and I do not teach those as the way to use our tools..
Matter of fact we do the opposite!
