Spydie, what would it be???

Now don't get excited, this is a hypothetical (sp?) question. I would choose the Native. This, to me, is the most USEFUL model.

Military.

OK, I confess, I also have my Mouse hidden in my sock. C'mon Paul, how 'bout "If you could have only one and a half?"

Hmm, difficult one. I'd have the one that I carry and use the most....Calypso Jr Lightweight! Even better than the Native in my eyes!

I have fancier ones, but if I could only keep one,
it would be my old style Endura.
(love those zytel clips)

I just couldn't do it. There are times when legally I can't carry a knife and thats when the Spydercard in plain edge hides safely in my wallet.

Calypso Jr. Lightweight!!!

Arrrghhh! This IS a tough question!! You mean only ONE?? *Bwaaa-hhaaa!* Ummm, lets see... Errr, given no choice at all -- it'll be a Super-military with titanium liners, titanium bolsters and G-10 scales..
*hee-hee-hee!*

Doc is right, the old style Endura is a very nice knife, very comfortable in the hand. I bought it as soon as it came out; now it belongs to my wife, who carries it everywhere.
As a southpaw, though, I sure like the reversible clips on the new Enduras... and I'm also glad I don't have to have only one Spydie!

You know, lately I find that I've been carrying my smaller Spydies the most, and I keep going back to a plain edged SS Co-Pilot more often then the rest. For some reason, I've REALLY come to like that piece.

I have a Mouse + Mouse Trap coming in the mail right now, and I have a feeling it's going to become a new favorite. I'll be sure to try hiding it in my sock when it arrives so that I get the maximum effect

I´d also choose the Calypso Jr Lightweight as I already tend to use it more often than my other knives. I just love it

Hi All

I have carried a Pro-grip for the past 5 years or so and this is my favourite favourite of all my knives (not just my Spyderco's!).

I own many spyderco knives, but if I had to choose just one it would be a Delica, I've carried one of these in different variations for the past ten years, its always done what I needed it to.

Hmmm Ok this is a no-brainer..of course my GUNTING..I've carried one for over a year..(yeah I know it was a prototype!)and NOW I carry a production model..I use it daily...
I love how it feels in my hand...I use it for everyday cutting..and of course I play with it...ROFL! I ALWAYS carry a G10 Navigator and a Mircarta-Calypso Jr as well....(wouldn't want my left hand to have SPYDIE withdrawl...)

Paul, I agree with you. DEFINITELY my Native. Best overall. Perfect balance in tactical and utility. Great grip with deep-finger coil. Spear-point great for cutting and thrusting. Not too light yet not too heavy. A PERFECT balance, 10/10.

Well, it will be the Gunting (if I ever get it). Until then I guess I would carry my Chinook. I also will have to cheat and carry my Mouse in its trap though.

Has to be the Wegner. I love this knife! One of my all-time favorites.

It's been a while since anyone has posted on this topic but:

If limited to only 1 (as tough as that would be to decide) it would be the Pro-Venator (Pro-Grip). The ruber on clip hangs on to what ever bills I have, and is still a handy blade config. But then again, lets try to think more positive...:-)

Today . . . I'd probably choose my Delica. Easy to carry but big on the job.

The Wegner series!

it would be a tough choice between the starmate and the wegner, but the wegner would have to come out on top.

Hello, Ladies & Genlemen!Greetings from Europe.
It's good to join the Forum. My choice'd be the Starmate (mine of course, #562).It's a tough one.Never had any problem with it.
Just one more word: never leave without a backup.I suggest a serrated Native. Thank you for the opportunity.Go on Spyderco!

This is a painful question! I have know idea... I think I would carry my,ummm, let me think about this.... I think I would choose the SS Native. Just a great knife, and not too big.

Ehh, supposed to be Thorin... : )

Without hesitation: Military!!! (Used to use Calypso Jr Ltw, changed my mind - too small)

This one has it all. Flat ground, a useful blade length, not too thick (good for cutting and slicing), very good steel, superb ergonomics and moderate weight for such a "big" knife. A wonderful all purpose knife IMO.

And it looks great as well

Have a knife´s day!

Paul, I'm with you. Whilst the Calypso Jr (in all it's configurations) is a great EDC, if I had to choose a knife which could do everything it would be the Military. I use mine a lot for cooking when I'm travelling and the flat grind is a real bonus. Of course my opinion might change if the large version of the Chinese Folder ever gets produced.

Don't worry that the world might end tomorrow, in Australia it's tomorrow already.

Only one? It would have to be a classic, a serrated S.S. Police.

Right now...My Native.

Once I get better with it, I suspect my Gunting may replace it as my daily favorite.

By far the most difficult question you could ask a spydernut. But I would say that my endura has went to work with me since it was born, but after 6 p.m.it magically transforms into a gunting

Someday my friends,I'll own em all!!!

I just faced this dilemma for REAL. I'm refocusing my collecting and had to choose one Spyderco to keep. The last two left were the Starmate and full size Wegner.
The Wegner is the one I kept. BUT I MISS my LITTLE BUDDIES!

Very had question. I dont hink a Person can own a Spyderco with out owning more than one, or at least wanting more than one. my pick (even tho i dont currently own it) would be a Bob Lum Tanto with the Bead blasted Ti handle. (*drool*) BTW where would i go about finding it if it is discontinued?
and for school carry a spydercard wouldnt be a bad idea....wouldnt want to get expelled
