How Many Spyderco Knives Do You Own?

I knew that joining this forum would take me over the edge. It's like an addiction, and every knife that gets talked about in these threads I just have to own. I recently (two days ago) got a 95mm Manix. I frackin love the knife. Thought it would be the ultimate knife and the last purchase for a long while.... Turns out, now I'm just itching to get the Lava and Caly3. I've just got to have those knives.

I only own 13 Spyderco knives. I feel like that is a god's plenty though, and sense I just got my Manny, I can't justify buying two new Spydies so soon after. Also, I'm a full-time grad student on a firefighter's salary... how much do I think I can really spend on Spydies??

So here's the thing... I would like to know how many SPYDERCO knives you all own. If you read this thread, just drop a simple number. It will only take five seconds. If you feel like sharing a little more, state your latest Spyderco purchase. If you really want to talk, tell me if you have ever bought more than one Spyderco at a time.

Depending on what I hear, I might be able to justify buying the Caly3 or Lava right away. Or maybe even both! Thanks to all who reply!

That was when I joined the forum. I had this $$$ saved up for a big BM order which kept on getting delayed and delayed, so I called BM and said--pull the order! After that I had a nice chunk of change already set aside for knives so I went crazy with Doug at the SFO. It felt sooooooo good.

I own just 3, two of which are about 7 years old (delica and endura). I just purchased the native and that is one awesome knife. I pretty much use it all day (for about 2 months now) and never once has it seen the stones. But I just can't wait untill my next purchase which will be a Persian. Just love that one!:D

Wait, what? Lava the Lava? I'm confused. Maybe I'll find out when my Lava I bought online without my identification comes here. And yes, after searching my feelings, I knew it was a good idea. But after searching my wallet I was second guessing.

Latest additions are a pair of first generation LH Mariners, one SE and one PE that arrived a few days back, and an Abalone Mini-Mariner that mysteriously appeared on my doorstep yesterday. The PE is identified on the box as a Mariner, but is what is generally referred to as a "Paramedic" - no MARINER marking, and asymetrically thick handle slabs.

I think I'm gonna pull a Doc Snubnose response as well.....I lost track after 100...:DLike I said Brian, the shell is the best part. ;) :D If the weather cooperates, I will get some photos of it this weekend. With the time change it's pitch black by the time I get home, and I don't think the lighting in here would do it justice.

.......my last post might not have indicated it, but I have slowed down considerably with my :spyder: buying. I look at my collection and think that all of the "holes" have been filled in, then I see another variation that I am missing.:( I blame Sal! He should stick to bringing out three or four new models a year and no sprint runs! :eek: ;)

Were you surprised by the size of the mini Mariner when you first saw one? When I got mine it was a bit of a shock when I saw how tiny it was in comparison to the mini Police.

Anyway keep up the good work, I need someone to use as an example to my missus that I am not alone in my gluttony!:D ;)

About 3 years ago I founded Spydercos ugly. Therefore I bought a SS Cricket. Then a Walker. And then a Kopa. Then an R2, a CF Harpy, a Merlin, a Big Dyad, a Salsa. And then came the Blackhawk, two Militarys (CF S30V and CPM 440V), a Goddard, a Tan Endura, two Temperances, the ZDP Delica, the Viele II…
A Lil' Temperance is on the way and I just localized a grey Goddard in a knifeshop...
Definitely, all that tends to be serious...

I remember a vew weeks ago, I participated on a "knife-freak-meeting" :p and had about 100 of my :spyder: 's with me. You can trust me, I was overweight at this time, ~ 12 kilos (26,5 pounds).

Now I wonder what's the weight of your collections ... :D

No need to feel stupid with only 3, most of us started with just 1 (I did for months). I posted a picture rather than just a number because collections are nice to see. Different people have different types of collections. Personally, I can't really afford the Collectors Club so I buy new knives that appeal to me (for one reason or another :confused: ). Even a single knife can mean a lot to someone!
