for once in my life i happened to be in the right place at the right time and was able to take advantage of the obviously incorrect prices posted on a certain web site. though to be fair, i emailed the owner and he said the prices were legit.

bottom line, today i received via UPS my very first spyderco manix -- the BIG ONE, with a partially-serrated edge AND my second para-military SE, but this one is black-bladed.

i've also started to build my light box to take better photos, but i don't have all i need yet. actually, these pics are a step down from my last set, but i wanted to share my new knives with everyone.

I LOVE THE MANIX! now thats one tank of a knife!

not bad for what 50 bucks, I am jealous still not sure whether would of taken a chance even in retrospect. although I did jumping on one of those before and have my order canceled so once bitten twice shy

Lucky! Nice knives, I too called and told him his prices were wrong but he insisted they were right. I got my Emerson Commander and have a Manix and A.T.R. on the way if all goes right, not bad for $80!

Whoa, right after I typed the last reply I checked my email and it said my $22.00 A.T.R. has been shipped with a tracking number! Can't wait!

american home products was the seller. got a full-size manix CE for $34.55 and a black blade para SE for $20.55, taxes included. i honestly didnt expect to get these knives at these prices -- and i wouldnt have complained if someone from the store reached out to me before the order shipped and explained about an "error" (if indeed there was one).

but getting back to the manix! all i can say is

"The MANIX:
I shall need no other knife /
For the rest of my life!"

of course spyderco may use the above quote will full permission in any way they see fit. haha!

and the para! love the black bladed version more than the satin i got last week off ebay. and these knives are definitely new -- in fact, the para i got from ebay was only described as "never used" and comparing it to the new para i got today, its clear that the knife was at least carried occasionally.

here are few more pics. (the last one is a piece of old, soft wood that i keep around -- "Nature's de-burrer.")

Hi Native Justice, someone from BF posted about a Para Military, wondering what this was about, it all started like this.......

After that me and about a zillion others ordered knives at ridiculously low prices and wondered if they were for real or if we were getting scammed, then the owner of American Home Outlet got on the BF and assured us that they were real prices, you can read over at BF on the above in bold. A lot of the orders were cancelled because they sold out so quickly but some of us were fortunate enough to get in early and order quickly, trusting (which was mighty hard to believe) American Home Outlet at these crazy prices, which, by the way, included shipping and tax! AHO was very reassuring to all that had ordered that they would receive refunds if knives were unavailable at these prices. In fact, I cancelled my orders and went back and forth trying to decide. I'm glad I did in the end and look forward to dealing with him again. Just wish I had jumped on the Para and the $25 Kopas!

unfortunately, no. they were flooded with orders and the stock (at those prices) was exhausted quickly. they then changed the prices to reflect "typical" internet prices (actually they seem a little higher than average).

one of the rare instances when "too good to be true" was false!

No, none left, there were a bunch of them too! I was just too apprehensive to jump on it. Just wondering who got them all.

they still list the SE Para at about $20... I'm in Europe, but I'd try otherwise...

Thanks for tip!

I just ordered 2 black-bladed serrated Para-Military knives. One for me and one for my dad.

You can't beat $19.63 for what is a $199.95 MSRP knife!
