*mysterious music plays*
1.How is it different?
2.How does it work?
3.How many knives is it on?
4.Will it be on many Spyderco knives in the future?

The phantom lock is based on a lock back. You have a pivot pin in the scale. One of the scales is connected to the lock so when you push down on that scale in relation to the other scale at the butt of the knife it causes the fron part of the scale to pivot in an upward direction which pushes the lock up also. That is how it disengages. I have a meerkat with it. I have opened it and carefully handed it to friends and family and none of them are able to figure out how to close it. I ask them to hand it back to me then blow on it to distract them while I disengage the lock. That pisses some off while others laugh hysterically.
