Anyone know where I can find a cheaper Viele

folder in the Illinois/Chicago area? Any help is appreciated...

Hmm. Don't know Chicago, but if you want good prices online, checkout:

or look for JA Knife Sales on eBay. Fairly decent prices on what he has in stock.

Try online stores and on eBay. I don't recall seeing any Vieles with retailers in the area, but you have nothing to lose if you check them out.

Also, try Erehwon or Galyan's at Schaumburg, next to Woodfield Mall. I also saw some in Bass at Gurnee Mills last weekend. I have bought a couple at Galyan's and sometimes you find them at reasonable prices. Erehwon can be a bit too pricy...

If not, do a search on dealers in the main Spyderco product page. I have no idea which area you are in, so you might want to look for something closer to your zip code.

I was just searching for some books in www.mysimon.com, and I started a search for Howard Vieles... you might want to try it, some came up at a sale price of 99.99 USD, for a couple of different merchants.
