I have been enjoying the anticipation of acquiring this knife for several months now. It has been sweet. The purchasing today was exciting. I am having way too much fun.

I hope our blades meet our expectations.

All the best,

Justin, at Grand Prairie, sent me this communication (rec'd 2-24) in response to my ZDP Endura inquiry: "Just had a shipment of these arrive yesterday. They are on the site now..."

So they are in inventory.

You read my mind about wanting a waved model of the ZDP Endura. Ooh la la! Now that would be Christmas and my birthday wrapped into one. An instant "must have" cutting tool.

THATS's what I've been thinking.... also in the Delica's case!

I would buy one in a heartbeat :D

oh well... perhaps we'll see it in the future... imagine if ZDP would replace VG-10 as the "standard" steel just as VG-10 replaced the AUS steels

Something to dream of...it never ends

Since I have a waved Endura and a variety of ZDP knives that each get used for different things this knife is kind of neither here nor there for me. If there were a waved ZDP Endura I'd get one just to simplify things a bit.

I would buy one if I'd been dead for a week.

I would buy one if I had to borrow money to do it.

I would buy one if knives were falling from the sky.

I would buy one if George Bush endorsed them.

I would buy one if my lovely wife said "uh uh!"

I would buy one if knives had been replaced by lasers.

I would buy one if Sal told me to my face that I had reached my Spyder limit.

I would buy one if doing so would put a feather up your nose.

I would...:D

While it's a cool idea, I don't find ZDP a personal must have. I'm perfectly happy with my VG-10 E4 Wave. And because I already have that, I would rather spend my limited budget on another model that I don't have. If I had the extra dough, I'd get it. This might change if Sal decides to make a waved version though:).

I've read that you know you have the collection sickness when you start buying multiples of the same design. A show of hands please...you know who you are (I know that I am not the only one).

I would have whole heartedly agreed with you just one year ago. Back then I wanted to try them all in order to find the right one for my edc needs. After buying more knives, of various origins, than I can shake a stick at I have found that the waved Endura 4 does it for me like no other.

Remove it from your pocket and it is ready to use. Typically, I rely upon its wave so much, I'll have something in my left hand that needs cutting right damn now. There is no fumbling or waiting with the wave.

So I want the best Endura possible. The very long-lasting edge of Spyderco'
s ZDP elevates the Endura substantially in my opinion. Emerson's wave is brilliant leap forward in knife user interface technology.

To sum up: ready when you are and sharp for a looong time makes a ZDP waved Endura it for me.
