Sprint Run Question

I was wondering how many knives are manufactured for a normal sprint run? Specifically the ZDP Lum Chinese folder. Anyone have any numbers?
I wonder this because I pre-ordered three of them from a website that had a good price. When I called, they said they would be receiving 300:eek: Chinese folders from Spyderco. I placed my order in August and crossed my fingers. The more I think about it, the more I begin to doubt I will ever receive even one. Does any one seller really get 300 pieces out of a sprint run to sell? I am pretty worried since I am guessing that this is my only shot to own one of these. Thanks.

A normal sprint run is 1200 pieces. Call the website and ask what number you are if its under 20 yuo'll probably get one.

Guys, any updates on ZDP Lum Chinese? The last I heard was March. But it is kind of quiet now. :confused: :confused: :confused:

I'm wondering about this as well. Does anybody know how many of these knives will be produced? I hope they come out soon. The anticipation is killin' me.

I believe the Chinese folder is a 1200 pc run.

I haven't heard the latest shipping plan. The ZDP took far longer to get than anticipated, which pushed the project farther back. Hitachi only makes the ZDP to order and it must be scheduled in to their regular steel production.

I imagine now that Bob is working for Benchmade, this last run of Chinese folderes will be gobbled up pretty quickly.

Crap. I am sure I don't have a chance at having my order filled if there are only going to be 1200 made. I really doubt that Spyderco will send 1/4 of them to the website I ordered from. I think the guy I talked to on the phone said that they had sold nearly all of their pre-orders when I placed my order. I will call and make sure of where I am on the list, but I don't have high hopes.
