Sal, I've been informed that having the logo may impose a problem, if there is any trouble, I can take it off, or delete it.

I call it the Denison, cause I couldn't think of anything else and thats where I live. I like the reverse S blades but think the Civi is just a bit toooo reversed. So I shallowed it out a bit and drew this up and threw in a BB lock... Even stuck a bug in for got measure.
However, I have absolutly no idea whether or not it would even function, such as closing and locking.

I like the design...maybe a better name might be "Tornado" considering where Denison is located....LOL...Doc:D

It could always be a fixed blade...this way it wouldn't matter if it closed and locked....Doc:D

Listening to Metallica gave me a new name and it fixed blade this time. But I left the hole, cause I like it. It could also serve to hold it in a sheath.

Daryn - I like your signature, made me laugh. :D

Nice drawing. I really like my Cricket and want to get a Civilian. Only problem with the Civilian is that... well... I'd only buy it as a collector item. I'd love to see a utility knife with a Reverse-S blade in a semi-traditional handle.

yeah. its nice aint it.

I have neither, but I saw that fact too. The cricket is small and the civilan is large. The only alternatives are the harpy and tasman. Neither of which are reverse S.

Well, there's also the dodo and the meerkat, but the blade length is actually the same as the cricket.

I think we need to start rallying for a 3-3.5 inch reverse S blade again. Most of the knives I've drawn up have a 3 inch reverse S and a spydie hole :D (Now I just need to either build one or show one to sal...)

The one you've drawn up is a really cool concept though, a sort of S-endura. I'd buy one :D

DODO... I had a mental block... I was drawing it up kinda thinking of a knife.. But couldn't place it. I couldn't even remember what it looked like. I knew it had a BB lock and reverse S... Thats it. Its an endura sized dodo... Call it the "Fuse" lol, cause its a fusion of both. That makes sense. Or hybrid, or alliance..
G-10 Scales, ZDP or VG-10 blade, Full steel liners, obviously. Jimping above the round hole. Wire clip. SE?!
I really need to go to sleep.

Hey guys you are forgeting about the best recurved blade Spyderco has in its offerings...."THE ADVENTURA" This is one mean self-defense tool and it's the perfect size between big and small, and the recurve blade (quite the slicer),SS Handle with cut-outs, cut outs in the blade (all take the heavy feeling out of the knife) nice job on the spine jimping for that secure grip in the hand...if you ask me It's damn near perfect! You should really consider getting one as it will fill all of your needs and then some.....Yes it is not a reverse S curved blade...IMHO...why do you need a larger S reverse curved blade when a recurve blade knife as the Adventura is available....everyone will start to realize this when they are no longer available....given a choice between a Civilian, or Cricket...I'd choose the The Adventura in a heart beat...Doc:D

The Adventura just looks... weird. I don't see a reason for the cutouts. I mean they can't possible cut as much weight off as to make that much of a difference in hand. And... yeah, there just not my thing.

Heres another one I just finished... Its more traditional. A clipped drop point with mid back lock and jimping similar to the Natives on the spine.

Large low blade and large hole with slimmer handle, for gloved hands.
