ok - picked up a springfield armory 45 as a b day present to myself - was looking at a gi, but stumbled on a tricked out one for 25 bucks more (very slightly used) - for the life of me, I cant id it using the springfield website or davidsons

Specs:

Government model 1911 (5 inch brl.)

.45 caliber

Front and rear slide serrations

novak fixed sights

extended grip safety

beavertail safety

commander hammer

coccobolo stocks

match barrel

full length guide rod

Parkerized

1 gi mag and 1 wilson combat mag

All extra stuff appears to either be factory or EXTREMELY well done aftermarket

I am very pleases with this pistol and have already put 300 through it with no hiccups - just want to know the model of my new pistol

Any photos? Chances are that it was customised a bit by the previous owner. Most of the items you've listed could be easily swapped out and look completely "factory". Either way, I think you'll really enjoy it. Our GI had some reliability issues at first, but after replacing the extractor and the magazine with Wilson parts, it's been much, much better.

no photos - well beyond my capabilities at this time - wonderful pistol - like I said, the custom stuff looks really good factory or aftermarket and got it at a steal too!!
