krazierkurtis - there were about 15 prototypes made and some are still for sale. As of a week or so ago, you could purchase them at www.bladeart.com - if you really want to pay the price.

The curiosity is killing me...
Out of the 20 or so Protos, were any of them serrated??

I've seen 5 or 6 besides the two I've got. None of them were serated.

Thanks for the info, pyrguy.
I spoke with someone "in the know" regarding the protos and was told that chances are, there were no serrated protos of the Ocelot.
Oh well, hopefully when they go full production, they'll have a serrated version.

Hi Sal,
Thank you for taking a moment to respond.
I had wondered if you preferred your blades serrated. Needless to say, I am jealous!
Green on black G-10? A beautiful piece indeed!
So, could I interest you in trading it for a lightly used Starmate?

Serrations have somed horsepower advantages when cutting fibrous materials.

I've heard rumers of a 3D Ocelot, care to spread any light on the subject?
...I will use my mistakes against you...
Hi Revent. Welcome to the Spyderco forum. Sorry, can't say more at this time.

The Ocelot is a skinner, plain and simple, and a great one. IMHO no need for serration on this model.

Sal,
Thank you for the welcome to the group im a rather quiet person so you wont here much from me, as to the 3D Ocelot you cant say any thing on it wich leads me to beleive that something is in the makeing or else you would have outrightly denighed it and from what i have read while lurking here your the owner so you would know.
Thank you.
