After a fairly rotten day, 1000 mile round trip in 19hrs + disappointing trade show, my day was really rounded off when a plastic tray on the side of a train seat caught in and sprung the clip on my standard

It was bent out about 9mm and would no longer clip to a pocket.

But then stepped up the SpyderWrench. The long Philips screw driver was first used to take the screws off, then the slip-joint pliers and adjustable wrench were used to straighten the clip.

Getting the Standard back in working order was very satisfying, so I guess every cloud does have a silver lining

Excellent story if I may say so myself What trade show did you go to? Why was it disappointing? Sorry to hear that it was disappointing

It's bringing tears to eyes. (Tears of joy)
Gald it worked out .

"Sure you loaned it to your friend and when you got it back the tip was missing."

It's always nice to carry a big stick that you can sharpen (w/ a spyderco)into a big spike and still walk softly.

Just wait until the day that you need that standard to fix up your spydiewrench... now that'll be a touching story
